Umesh Pal Murder case: Atiq Ahmed’s son Asad and his shooter killed in Encounter

In the Umesh Pal Murder Case, the UP STF killed absconding mafia Atiq Ahmed’s son Asad and his aide Ghulam in an encounter. On both, a reward of five lakh rupees was declared. His encounter took place in Jhansi. According to STF, they have recovered foreign weapons.

The UP police stated that both Atiq Ahmed’s son Asad and Ghulam’s son Maqsudan were wanted in the Umesh Pal murder case in Prayagraj. They both had a reward of 5 lakh rupees on the accused. In Jhansi, he was killed in an encounter with a UP STF team led by DSP Navendu and DSP Vimal. Both have recovered a large number of foreign weapons.

In response to this, CM Yogi Adityanath praised the UP STF. At the same time, Principal Secretary Home Sanjay Prasad informed the Chief Minister about the encounter. However, following this encounter, a law and order meeting has been called. A report on the entire situation has been presented to the Chief Minister. Notably, Ashad had fled after the Umesh Pal murder case.

On the other hand, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak stated that we determine that we will eliminate the goon mafia and criminals from Uttar Pradesh. Any such criminal who commits a crime will not be allowed to roam freely in the state. Uttar Pradesh ranks first in terms of punishment under Uttar Pradesh law. No criminal will be able to avoid prosecution in Uttar Pradesh by committing a crime.
