Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson was fined Rs 12 lakh for slow over-rate during their Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Chennai Super Kings.
Slow over-rate is again turning into a big issue in IPL with most of the matches extending for over four hours.
“This is the team’s first offense relating to slow over-rate under the IPL Code of Conduct, therefore captain Sanju Samson has been fined Rs 12 lakh,” the IPL said in a statement.
Chennai Super Kings were defeated by three runs in this match attracted till the last ball Rajasthan. This is Rajasthan’s third success in four matches while Chennai experienced their second loss this season.
