Foreign ministers of the G7, a group of the world’s seven richest countries, have pledged to increase sanctions against Russia over the war in Ukraine.
“We commit to increasing and fully implementing sanctions against Russia,” G-7 foreign ministers said in a communique issued after their meeting that ended Tuesday.
“There can be no impunity for war crimes and other atrocities such as Russia’s attacks on civilians and critical infrastructure,” he said.
The ministers also agreed to continue providing all possible assistance to Ukraine. Important issues such as cooperation with China, Taiwan, and the so-called ‘Global South’ countries were also discussed in the meeting of the G-7 foreign ministers.
