Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Friday that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will form the government in Lok Sabha Election 2024 as well and Narendra Modi will become the Prime Minister for the third consecutive time.
Speaking at the ‘India Today Conclave’ held here, Shah said that after the Modi government came to power, three important issues of Jammu and Kashmir, the Northeast, and the Maoist problem have been largely resolved.
The Home Minister said that after carrying out surgical strikes inside Pakistan, no foreign power dared to interfere in the internal affairs of the country.
He said, “The people will decide who will be the next prime minister of the country. I have visited all parts of the country and have realized that the BJP will form the next government and Modi will become the prime minister for the third time in a row.”
Shah said that this would be the first time since 970 that the Prime Minister would get the mandate for the third consecutive term.
When Amit Shah was asked about the number of seats the NDA would get in the Lok Sabha Election 2024, he said it would be more than what it got in 2019.
“We (Bharatiya Janata Party) will get more than 303 seats,” Shah said.
Significantly, the BJP alone got 303 seats in the 2019 elections, while the NDA got around 350 seats in the 543-member Lok Sabha.
