33 soldiers died in the attack on 28 April
Earlier on April 28, an army unit was attacked in Burkina Faso. In this, 33 soldiers lost their lives, while 12 were injured. Let us tell you that Burkina Faso is one of the West African countries where a violent Islamic insurgency is going on. In the last eight years, incidents of terrorism have increased, thousands of people have been killed, and more than 2 million civilians have been displaced.
In fact, last year, the army staged two coups in the country. Now the army is threatening to take over control of the country. Since 2012, almost daily incidents of violence have been witnessed in this area. The violence later spread to neighboring Burkina Faso and Niger, destabilizing the entire region.
